Power The Fight wins Charity Times Charity of the Year 2023

We are delighted to share that Power the Fight were among the big winners at the Charity Times Awards 2023 taking home the coveted Charity of the Year Award on 20th September in London. The judging panel said:

“This charity has shown significant growth and progress over a short period of time. It has carried out some impressive work with key stakeholders like the Mayor of London’s office and its mission and activities directly respond to a growing need to address violence amongst youth. A really powerful example of community action with considerable successes despite only being in existence for four years. This is definitely one to watch! Impressive reach of services and impact.”

The highly competitive individual awards also attracted cheers across the room with Power the Fight’s Ben Lindsay OBE taking home Social Media Leader of the Year. He said:

“I’m incredibly honoured for this recognition of the hard work which Power the Fight has achieved over the last year, engaging with young people and their mental health, supporting families who have been impacted by violence. Training multiple practitioners in understanding the systemic issues of violence affecting young people and this win is testimony to the dedication of the team. Those who are frontline staff working in challenging conditions but also the staff who people wouldn’t necessarily see but who are really important to the infrastructure of the organisation. We just want to continue creating more peaceful communities and collaborating with as many people who want to help achieve that goal. We are happy to be double winners and this is just the beginning!”
