Spark2Life is a community-inspired black led initiative that empowers and advocates for people by giving them the tools to reduce risk of offending and reoffending. Founded in 2007, we exist to ‘Prevent Harm & Promote Life’ through a range of services including mentoring, coaching and NEET support. Through therapeutic mentoring we guide, challenge and/or affirm people’s values, beliefs, behaviour, and reasoning – holistically helping them develop their capacity to independently manage life successfully. We partner with communities and professional networks to ensure YP get fair process and reasonable regard
Our role on the My Ends Project:
Spark2Life will provide a mentoring service to young people spread across the three neighbourhoods. Meaningful Mentoring matches YP with trained Spark2Life case workers who provide up to 12 months of weekly 1hr face-to-face mentoring. The sessions cover key themes focussed on young people’s agency and risk: Relationships, Family, Friends and Purpose. The mentoring will be supported by detached youth work to ensure that those young people most in need of support are reached.
