This training will give you an understanding on how to better engage with local and central government in the area of youth violence.
After this training you will be able to:
- Understand the various panels, groups and meetings that can support your local community and hold policy makers to account
- Increase your voice, as an advocate for those on the margins, and become a key ally and critical friend to local decision makers
- Gain a better understanding of the political landscape and have a clearer understanding of local authority powers and the policies impacting your community
- Use effective strategies to help bridge the gap and increase engagement between local/central government and your organisation
Space will be given to consider how your own practice can best challenge and support local/central government to help reduce youth violence.
